Cherry Class have been learning to make numbers between 20-99 in different ways, for example, using dienes. Children begun by making numbers such as 41, 42 and 43, and then numbers such as 43 and 34, discussing what was the same and what was different. They focussed on using key vocabulary such as ‘tens’ and ‘ones’ to describe what they had made.
