Year 6 have begun their exciting new topic, “If the world were a Village.”
Today in writing, we immersed ourselves in village life by stepping into the roles of both rich and poor characters. Through drama and role-play, we explored what daily life might feel like for each person — their challenges, emotions, hopes and struggles.
We then reflected together: Is the divide between rich and poor fair? If we were to create our own village, what would it look like? What values would matter most?
These powerful discussions have inspired us and prepared us beautifully to begin writing our own narratives.
