On Tuesday the 18th of June Year 6 visited the National Army Museum in Chelsea. We saw auxiliary uniforms , dlisted tanks, life size helicopters and a range of weapons used during the war.
We took part in a workshop titled ‘The Blitz.’ Using artefacts, we identified the roles of an Air Raid Warden, A nurse, a firefighter, A homeguard and an Auxiliary Territorial Service. We were able to decipher between different monarch and special services medallions and medals.
