Dear Parents and Carers,
What a brilliant week it’s been—thanks in no small part to the amazing success of Sports Day yesterday! It was wonderful to return to Shoreditch Park, and the feedback from staff, parents and children has been overwhelmingly positive. So many of you have shared how much you enjoyed the day, and it’s clear that the event was a real highlight for our school community.
A huge thank you goes to Mr Robinson for organising such an incredible event. His hard work and attention to detail made everything run smoothly and ensured that everyone—children and adults alike—had a fantastic time.
In today’s celebration assembly, nearly every award was given in recognition of the outstanding sportsmanship shown during Sports Day. While we certainly celebrated our winners, the true victory lay in the kindness and encouragement shown by the children—cheering each other on, offering support, and being genuinely happy for each other’s successes.
We must also give a special mention to the parents who took part in the races—despite a few bumps and bruises! Thank you for being such good sports and for helping to make the day so memorable.
It’s moments like these, when we come together as a school community, that really highlight what a special place our school is.
Finally, we haven’t forgotten about our Nursery, Reception and Year 1 children—Reception and Year 1 will have their Sports day on Friday 18th July at 9am and Nursery 2 and 3 year olds will have their Sports day on Monday 21st July at 9am
Wishing you all a restful and sunny weekend!
Warm regards,
Ms Toni Mason
We are excited to invite you to this year’s Year 6 production, taking place on Thursday 10th July at the church. There will be two performances: a morning show at 10am and an evening show at 6pm. Tickets are £2 each and will be available to purchase from the school office after 3pm starting Monday. We hope to see you there for what promises to be a fantastic event!
As we come to the end of a fantastic year, the end of year reports are being completed.
For children in EYFS to Year 5, reports will be emailed to parents and carers on Monday. If you would like to discuss anything with your child’s class teacher, we will be holding a drop-in session on Tuesday after school until 4:45pm. There’s no need to book—just come along if you’d like a quick chat or to ask any questions.
For Year 6 families, reports will be sent home on Tuesday. This is because SATS results will be released that day, and we want to include them with the reports.
To support parents in understanding the SATS outcomes, we are holding a briefing at 2:45pm on Tuesday. This will be a chance to hear what the results mean, how they’re reported, and what they reflect about your child’s learning. Year 6 staff will be available to answer any questions. If you’d like to attend, please come to the front office at 2:45pm.
We look forward to seeing many of you then!
We’re pleased to announce that this Friday, 9th July, will be an own clothes day for all pupils.
Instead of bringing in cash donations, we kindly ask for contributions towards the tombola at our upcoming Summer Fete.
We are looking for a range of prizes, such as chocolates, sweets, soft toys, games, unopened toiletries, bottles of drink, and small gift items. Please ensure any food or drink items are unopened and within their use-by dates.
Thank you in advance for your support – every donation helps make the Summer Fete a fun and successful event!
We know that many families like to stock up on school uniform over the summer holidays ready for the new school year.
The following retailers are offering discounts on school uniform:
We will let you know if we hear of any other good offers.
