Dear Families,
This week began with us waving off the year 6’s on their school journey to Liddington and what a brilliant few days they had! So many children tried out new things, from abseiling to archery, giant swings to rafting; there really was never a dull moment. The children showed so many of the St John the Baptist values: most of all they were collaborative, independent and resilient and they should be very proud of themselves. The PGL staff led the activities with skill and the school staff who accompanied the children had a really fun time despite the challenge of getting so many ten and eleven year olds to bed! Many memories were made, and lessons learnt, including how challenging it can be to pack away a sleeping bag. There are many lovely photos on Instagram of our children having so much fun!
Easter is this weekend and it was lovely to see so many excited faces when Easter Bunny made an early visit to us at school, and left us a chocolately surprise! It is a very special time for many religions in the coming weeks and we will all be thinking about caring for one another and kindness in many different ways.
As we approach the end of term I would like to wish you all a very happy holiday break, Happy Easter to all and for those of you who will be celebrating the end of Ramadan, a very happy Eid.
Have a wonderful and restful break and I look forward to seeing you all back after the holiday. We restart for all children on Monday 15th April.
Have a wonderful break.
Best wishes, Toni Mason
