Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been another busy and enjoyable week in school.
Today we supported Jeans for Genes Day, with lots of children wearing their jeans and helping us to raise money for a great cause. Thank you to everyone who took part and donated. As a school, we raised £103.69!

Our clubs started this week, and we are pleased with the wide range on offer, including some exciting new additions. We have also had other enrichment opportunities taking place, including Bikeability for Year 6, and teachers are already busy booking trips to complement learning across the curriculum.
We held the last of our parent meetings this week, and it was lovely to welcome so many of you into school. If you were unable to attend and would like a copy of the slides, please get in touch and we will be happy to send them to you.
Finally, please scroll down to find out more about our upcoming Science Day taking place in October, including a community science show after school. We would love to see as many of our families there as possible.
I hope you have a lovely weekend.
Warm regards,
Ms Toni Mason

We’re really excited to share that we successfully applied for and received a grant from ‘Science in Schools’ company, which means we’ll be welcoming real scientists into school for a fantastic day of hands-on science!
On Friday 2nd October, pupils in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 will enjoy an exciting show called Exciting Cells, bringing science to life in a fun and memorable way.
The excitement doesn’t stop at the end of the school day! From 3:45–4:30pm, there will be a special community science show featuring some of the most exciting highlights from the day’s workshops. All parents and carers are warmly invited to join us.
If you are collecting your child at the end of the day, we really hope you’ll stay around and enjoy the show with us. We’re just waiting for some guidance from the scientists themselves about the best location for the community show, including whether it will be best held inside or outside. We’ll share the final arrangements with you as soon as we can so that everyone knows where to go after pick-up.
We hope lots of you can join us – it promises to be an amazing experience for our children and families!
As many of you will know, this is the second year of our partnership with St Paul’s Cathedral, through which children in Years 3 to 6 have been receiving additional choral singing lessons from trained professionals. We are delighted that St Paul’s chose to work with our school. We have also been fortunate enough to send many of our pupils on trips to the cathedral and participate in several concerts. St Paul’s recently sent us a video of their Raise the Roof concert, which was a very exciting event to be part of.
