Dear Parents and Carers,
This week, we started with a thought-provoking assembly focused on our value of the week: cooperation. Together, we reflected on the incredible things that can be achieved through teamwork and how we can continue to grow in this important area. Cooperation is a value we already see shining brightly in our children, and we are excited to keep building on this both inside and outside the classroom.
We were delighted to welcome Megan, our new Badu coach, to the school this week. Megan has already started teaching PE and has been full of praise for the enthusiasm and positive attitude of our children. It’s always wonderful to hear such feedback from new members of our team.
Over the past two weeks, many of our student leadership groups have been meeting, including our Value Leaders, Eco-Warriors, and Digital Leaders. These young leaders have been sharing their ideas and making meaningful contributions to improve our school. It’s inspiring to see their passion and commitment to making a difference!
Another exciting development this term is the introduction of chess lessons for our Year 3 pupils. They are embracing the challenge and developing new skills that will benefit them far beyond the chessboard. It’s just one example of the wide range of opportunities we provide to enrich our children’s learning and experiences.
Finally, a quick reminder to keep an eye out early next week for information about our after-school clubs. We’re looking forward to another great term of activities and engagement.
Thank you for your continued support, and have a wonderful week!
Best wishes,
Ms Toni Mason
Headteacher
Community Alert: Phone Snatching Incidents
This week, there have been two reported incidents of phone snatching involving members of our school community. Both incidents occurred near busy roads and close to local stations. We urge everyone to be extra vigilant, especially around bikes and scooters, which are often used in such crimes. Please keep phones and valuables out of sight, remain aware of your surroundings, and remind children of the importance of staying alert when walking to and from school. Let’s work together to keep our community safe.
