We’re excited to share that this half term we’re continuing to add new loose parts and exciting games to our playground and mud kitchen! This week, we introduced suitcases—and they’ve been a huge hit with the children, inspiring everything from imaginative airport roleplay to thrilling wheelie races and just today, we managed to source some kayaks! Take a look at the photos above to see one child whipping up a delicious apple pie in the mud kitchen, one child sailing away on a make-believe river, while another group gets ready to perform on our makeshift stage! We’d love to have even more suitcases available across both playgrounds. So, if you or anyone you know is thinking of throwing one away, please don’t—bring it to school instead! We’ll be gratefully accepting donations from now through the whole of next year.
Thank a Teacher Day – Wednesday 18th June 2025
Next Wednesday 18th June is Thank a Teacher Day, a special opportunity to show appreciation for all the hard work, care, and dedication shown by our wonderful teaching and support staff. Every day, they go above and beyond to support, inspire, and nurture our children – and this is the perfect moment to say a big “thank you”!
If your child would like to take part, they could write a kind note, draw a picture, or simply share a few words of thanks with a teacher or member of staff who has made a difference to them. Parents and carers are also very welcome to get involved – whether it’s a quick message on the gate, a card, or even an email, every gesture is truly appreciated.
