Dear All,
We’ve had a fantastic week of learning! Students have been engaged, curious, and making great progress across all subjects.
It was great to see the Parent Coffee Morning session Building Emotional Resilience was well so well attended. Terri’s presentation had great feedback with parents commenting on the ideas they got from the visual resources being helpful. Next week we have another session with Terri on Tuesday morning starting from 8:45 for about 30 minutes, the focus is Managing Big Emotions in Children. This is such a helpful session for so many children. Please do come for a chat and a hot drink, entry through the office. No booking required.
Thank you for your continued support at home — it truly makes a difference.
Have a lovely long weekend and we will see all children return on Tuesday the 6th of May.
Warm regards,
Ms Toni Mason

We are still taking applications for places on our teacher training route with UCL starting in September 2025. This is a full-time 1-year student training route, leading to PGCE and QTS, where you will enrol at UCL and come to Primary Advantage schools for your placements.
You need GCSEs in English, Maths, Science plus a degree 2:2 or above by the time the course starts. More details can be found here. Applications must be made via the DFE Apply for Teacher Training portal ; please search for Primary Advantage on the DFE portal. Please pass all these details on to friends and family outside of Primary Advantage as we welcome applications from all. We have a limited number of places and recommend applying as soon as possible.
Please contact Sandra for more information on the different routes into teacher training at any time: palearning@primaryadvantage.hackney.sch.uk
We have been asked to share this survey with parents and carers.
We want to understand how confident parents and carers feel in finding support, information and advice about supporting your children and yourself in staying mentally well in Hackney. This survey will allow us to understand these questions and begin to address gaps in awareness and confidence.
This survey is part of the Mental Health Needs assessment being carried out by Public Health/Population Health Hub alongside CAMHS , Hackney Education, WAMHS (Wellbeing and Mental Health in Schools), and others who provide wellbeing and mental health services or support to children and young people in City & Hackney.
The survey is 10 questions and should take 10-15 minutes to complete.
Please complete if you can.
