Our school has a warm and friendly atmosphere with a strong family feel. We promote care, understanding and respect for those within and beyond our school community.

Five core values underpin all that we do at St John the Baptist. We welcome, celebrate and care for each other to make our school a safe and happy place (Celebration); we co-operate, help and listen to each other so we can learn from each other and settle disputes peacefully (Cooperation); we work hard and try our best so we can be proud of ourselves and our work (Determination); we are honest and tell the truth so we can trust each other (Honesty); we look after the school and our belongings so we have a pleasant place to work (Respect).  Our Beliefs enable us to work together to share a common purpose. We see them as a positive way to learn how to become the best we can be.

We have a highly committed, friendly team of staff who care deeply about the children at St John the Baptist and often ‘go the extra mile.’ We work together as a team to provide a creative curriculum to promote high academic standards which will enable children to succeed at secondary school and beyond.

Children are at the heart of everything we do.
