Dear Parents and Carers,
As we reach the end of half term, thank you for your continued support. It has been a joy to see the children’s growing confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning.
This half term has been rich with opportunities, from storytelling assemblies and internet safety sessions led by our Digital Leaders to visits from local vets and community speakers. Pupils have represented the school brilliantly on trips, in chess tournaments, and Year 5 even sang at St Paul’s Cathedral.
Our International Evening was another highlight, with fantastic class displays celebrating our diverse community. Please see below for more details.
Thank you to our staff, families and, most importantly, our wonderful children. We wish you a safe and restful half term and look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday 24th February.
With warmest wishes,
Ms Toni Mason

This week has been an exciting one for our playground development. We cleared and reorganised the large sheds so that equipment is now easily accessible, helping children to choose and put away resources independently.
The mud kitchen and suitcases remain firm favourites, and we have introduced some new additions: balance boards, a small sand pit and some old IT equipment, all of which have inspired creative and collaborative play. The children have loved the new resources, and it has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm in action.
Please enjoy a few photos of them making the most of their new playground!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our International Evening on Wednesday. It was a fantastic event and a real celebration of the rich diversity within our school community. We are especially grateful to all the families who generously donated food.
It was wonderful to see our community come together to learn about different countries and cultures, share experiences and celebrate what makes our school such a vibrant and welcoming place.
Please enjoy a few photos below capturing some of the fun from the evening!

Our Digital Leaders led a fantastic assembly for Safer Internet Day this week. They debated the key online issues facing young people and decided to educate the school about the risks of scamming.
They wrote and performed short dramas showing scenarios where someone was at risk of being scammed, giving everyone the opportunity to pause, reflect and discuss the dangers.
They left us all with a powerful and important message:
Think before you click.

We would like to remind all families whose children have access to a mobile phone that the minimum age for using WhatsApp is 13. Recently, we have had a small number of issues linked to messaging apps, and we know that these can quickly escalate if not carefully monitored. As we approach half term, children are likely to have more free time and increased access to screens, so it is especially important to be vigilant. Please take time to check which groups your child is part of, who is in them, and ensure they know what to do if they receive inappropriate messages, including blocking users and telling a trusted adult. Regular monitoring of phones and online activity is essential. We will continue to reinforce online safety in school, but your support at home makes the greatest difference in helping children use technology safely and responsibly.
