Dear Families,
As we come to the end of a short but sweet half term, I want to take a moment to celebrate the many achievements and successes we’ve shared. From the classroom to the playground, our pupils have continued to impress us with their enthusiasm, determination, and creativity.
Looking ahead, the next half term is shaping up to be our busiest and most exciting yet! Please take a moment to read the dates carefully so you don’t miss out on any of the fantastic events and opportunities coming up.
You may have noticed that we’ve made some small but important changes to our home time routines this week. These updates are part of our ongoing efforts to enhance safety and ensure every child leaves school securely.
To support us with this, we kindly ask:
This helps us clearly match children with their trusted adults and keeps everyone safe. Thank you in advance for your cooperation – it really does make a difference.
We will be putting up signs as friendly reminders of this new routine. Our home-school partnership is incredibly valuable, and your support helps us to keep improving.
All that’s left to say is have a restful and enjoyable half term break. I look forward to welcoming you all back for Summer 2 on Monday June 2nd!
Warm regards,
Ms Toni Mason
For those whose child is going for the first time here is some key information:
We are thrilled to announce that our school will relaunching International Day and Evening on Wednesday 4th June from 3:45pm to 5:15pm, and we warmly invite all families to join us in the afternoon celebrating the incredible cultural diversity within our school community.
Throughout the day, children are encouraged to wear traditional clothing from their home country or from a country that holds special significance for their family. This is a wonderful opportunity for pupils to share and take pride in their heritage.
In preparation for the event, each class will be learning about a country from around the world. During the evening, students will have prepared a stand and will be able to showcase what they have learned through displays and presentations. It promises to be a vibrant and enriching experience for all.
And what’s a celebration without food? We’ll be serving a variety of delicious international dishes—and that’s where we would love your help. We are kindly asking families to consider contributing a dish that represents their culture or background. Whether it’s sweet or savoury, a small taster or a full tray, all donations are greatly appreciated.
You will have receieved an email with a form to fill out if you are able to support us in making food.
Let’s come together to celebrate, learn from one another, and enjoy a truly global evening. We can’t wait to see you there!
Next half term, we are once again turning our attention to improving our playground and making it an even more exciting and imaginative space for our children. One creative idea we’ve come across is using old suitcases in play – they can become dens, treasure chests, shop counters, secret storage, or even part of an adventure game! The possibilities are endless when it comes to imaginative play. To help bring this idea to life, we are kindly asking families, friends, and neighbours to donate any old and unwanted suitcases you may have at home. If you have one gathering dust, we’d love to give it a new purpose in our playground. Thank you in advance for your support!
