28 Sep Alice WilsonCo-opted Foundation Governor, SEND Link Governor
Alice’s desire to work in education started when she was 14 years old and volunteered at a local
primary school. Although the seed was planted back then, it wasn’t until she volunteered at a
socially deprived school in Brighton, whilst completing her MA in History, that she realised she
wanted to pursue teaching. After a brief spell working in the fashion industry, she decided to follow
her passion of working in education, specifically in disadvantaged areas, and successfully applied to
Teach First in 2015. This was the beginning of her journey with the Multi Academy Trust where she
works.
In her current role, as part of the Trust Development Team, she works closely with teachers, middle
leaders and the headship teams of each school, enhancing their professional development, with a
focus on enhancing their curriculum offer alongside developing teaching and learning across the
trust.
